This Day

La (E7)la la la

(G)la, (D)la (E7)la la la

(G)la la la.

(D)La (E7)la la la

(G)la, (D)la (E7)la.

(G)(A)(G)Yesterday the sky was bright (D)and (G)clear.

I could see the sun and I (Dmaj7)could (G)hear (F6)the (D)song.

But (G)Faith (A)flowed (G)like a (Dmaj7)river,

(G)free (D)and (G)deep,

and grace (A)was (G)not so hard (Dmaj7)to (G)be (D)(G)believed.

But (A)that was (Bm)yesterday,

and what was (A)close enough to touch now seems a world (E7)his away.

So what (G)about this day?

(D)This (E7)day (Gsus)all His (G)mercies are new.

(D)This (E7)day (Gsus)ev'ry (G)promise is true.

(D)(E7)Father, help me to believe,

(Gsus)give me (G)faith I need to (D)know

(E7)You and (Gsus)trust

(G)You this day.

(G)This day.

(G)Who (A)knows (G)what tomorrow's light (D)will (G)bring,

tears to cry or maybe songs (Dmaj7)to (G)sing (F6)out (D)loud.

But (G)(A)only (G)God can see (Dmaj7)that (G)far (D)(G)away,

and He (A)made (G)us for (Dmaj7)living (G)day (D)by (G)day 'cause (A)He wants us (Bm)to see

and that the (A)God that He's been ev'ry day of world (E7)history

is who (G)He is this day.

(D)This (E7)day (Gsus)all His (G)mercies are new.

(D)This (E7)day (Gsus)ev'ry (G)promise is true.

(D)(E7)Father, help me to believe,

(Gsus)give me (G)faith I need to (D)know

(E7)You and (Gsus)trust

(G)You this day.

(G)This day.

(Gsus)trust (G)You.

'Cause (E7sus)You are (E7)the same (E7sus)yesterday and (E7)today and (C)(G6)forever.

(F#7sus)Through (F#7)ev'ry season

Your (F#7sus)truth and

(F#7)Your grace never (G)change.

Oh, Lord, (A)I do (Bm)believe that the (A)God that You've been ev'ry day of (E7)history

is who (G)You are this day.
