Dental Care

I (F)brush my (C)teeth and look in the mirror,

as and (F)laugh out loud (C)as I'm beaming from ear to ear.

I'd rather pick (F)flowers

(C)instead of fights,

and and rather than flaunt my style,

fit, I'd flash you a smile (Am7)of clean,

pearly whites.

(Am)I've been to the dentist a thousand times,

so I know the drill:

I smooth my hair, sit back in the chair,

but somehow I (F)still get the chills.

(F)"Have a (C)seat," he says pleasantly,

as he (F)shakes my hand

"Don't have a fit, this'll pinch a bit,"

(F)that's when (C)dentists (F)scream and (C)lose their (G)"patients."

Talking (Am7)only (F)brings the (C)toothaches on,

because (Am7)I say the (F)stupidest (C)things.

So if my (Am7)resolve goes south,

I'll (C)swallow my pride with an asp'rin and (F)shut my (Am)mouth.

Golf and alcohol don't mix, and that's (G6)why I don't drink and drive,

because, good grief, I'd knock out my teeth and have to (C)kiss my (F)smile goodbye.
