The Prayer of Jabez

As I (Asus2)come before You, Father,

there's (F#m11)power in this place to (E)move the hands of heaven with a word.

You're the (Asus2)God of all creation and You (F#m11)hear my ev'ry prayer,

and You (E)long to give me more than I deserve.

So I pray (A)in (Bm11)(A)expectation,

with (D)great (A)(Bm11)(A)anticipation:

(E)Oh, Lord, that (F#m7)You would (D)bless me indeed,

enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me,

that You would (Bm7)keep me from all evil,

that I may cause no pain.

Oh, Lord, (Bm11)this is the (E)prayer that I (A)pray.

(D6/9)So I (A)kneel before You now.

I (F#m11)surrender to Your will, and I'm (E)living in the hollow of Your hands.

You have (A)placed within my heart,

Lord, a vision and a faith that is (E)bigger than what I understand.

So I pray (A)in (Bm11)(A)expectation,

with (D)great (A)(Bm11)(A)anticipation, (E)ticipation,) yeah:

Oh, Lord, that (F#m7)You would (D)bless me indeed,

enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me,

that You would (Bm7)keep me from all evil,

that I may cause no pain.

Oh, Lord, (Bm11)this is my (E7)prayer.

Oh, (A)Lord, that (F#m7)You would (D)bless me indeed,

enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me,

that You would (Bm7)keep me from all evil,

that I may cause no pain.

Oh, Lord, (Bm11)this is my (E7)prayer.

Oh, (Bm11)this is the (E)prayer that I pray.

Oh, oh.

(D6/9)Da da dum dum dum, yeah.

(A)Oh, Lord, (F#m11)this is my prayer,

mm yeah.
