Winter Snow

You could've come like a mighty (Dmaj7)storm,

(Em9)with all the strength of a hurricane;

(G)You could've come like a forest fire,

with the power of heaven in Your (A7sus)flame.

(A7)But You came like a winter snow:

(Em9)quiet, and (Dsus2)soft, and (Gmaj9)slow;

(Em9)falling from the sky in the night to (A7sus)the earth below.

(Em7)You could've swept in like a tidal wave,

(Bm7)or in an ocean to ravage our hearts.

You could have come through like a roaring flood

to wipe away the things we've scarred.

(F#7)Oh, but You came like a winter snow,

yes, You did.

You were quiet,

You were soft and slow;

(Em9)falling from the sky in the night to the (A7sus)earth below.

(F#)Ooh, (Bm7)no, Your voice wasn't in a bush (F#)burning.

No, Your voice (A)wasn't in a rushing (F#)wind.

It was still, it was small,

it was (A)(F#)hidden.

(Em7)Oh, You (Em9)came like a winter snow:

quiet, and (D)soft and slow;

(Em9)falling from the sky in the night to the (A7sus)earth below.

(Asus)You came (Bm)falling from the sky in the night to the (Asus)earth below.
