Whenever I Call You "Friend"

Whenever I (F#m7)call (B7)you "friend," I begin to think I (G7)understand anything we (G)are.

You and I have (Em7)always been (D7sus)ever and (D7)ever.

(G)I see myself (F#m7)within (B7)your eyes,

and that's all I need to (G7)show me why ev'rything I (G)do always takes me (Em7)home to you,

ever and (E)ever.

Now I know my life has (F#7)given me more than (B)memories.

(D#7sus)Day by day (Bbm7)we (Eb7)can see,

in ev'ry (Db)moment, there's a (Bb7)reason to carry on.

(F)Sweet love's (C)showin' us a (Dm)heavenly light.

(F)I never (C)seen such a (Dm)beautiful (C)sight.

(F)See love (C)glowin' on us (Dm)every night.

(F)I know (C)forever we'll be (Dm)doin' it.

(F)Sweet love's (C)showin' us a (Dm)heavenly light.

(F)I never (C)seen such a (Dm)beautiful (C)sight.

(F)See love (C)glowin' on us (Dm)every night.

(F)I know (C)forever we'll be (Dm)doin' it right.

Whenever I (Bm7)call (E7)you "friend," I believe I've come to (C7)understand ev'rywhere we (C)are.

You and I were (Am7)meant to be (G7sus)forever and ever.

(C)I think about the (Bm7)times (E7)to come,

knowing I will be the (C7)lucky one.

Ever our love will (C)last.

(E7)I (Am7)always want to (D7)call you (G7sus)"friend."

(Dm)doin' it (C)right.
