Wedding Day

There's a stirring

in the throne room,

and all (Am)creation holds its breath,

waiting now to see the Bridegroom,

wond'ring how the bride will dress.

And she wears (D)white.

(G)And she (D)knows that she's undeserving;

she bears the (Am)shame of history.

But this (D)worn and weary maiden

is not the bride that He sees.

She wears (Bm)white,

head to toe,

but only He

could make it (A)so.

When someone (Em)dries (Bm)your tears,

when (G)someone wins your heart and says you're (D)beautiful when you don't know you (A)are,

when all you (Em)long (Bm)to see is (G)written on His face,

(Em)love has come and fin'lly set you (G)free

on that wedding day,

on that (D)wedding day.

She has danced in golden castles,

she has (Am)crawled through beggars' dust,

but today she stands before Him

and she wears

His righteousness.

She will (Bm)be

who He adores;

this is what He made her for.

When someone (G)free.

When the (Em)hand that bears the (D)only scars in (Em)Heaven touch her (D)face,

and the (Gsus)last tears she'll (G)ever cry are (Gsus)fin'lly wiped (G)away,

and the (Em)clouds roll back as He takes (Bm)her hand and (D)walks her through the (A)gates,

(G)forever we will reign.

When someone (Em)dries (Bm)your tears,

when (G)someone wins your heart and says you're (D)beautiful when you don't know you (A)are,

when all you (Em)long (Bm)to see is (G)written on His face,

(Em)love has come and fin'lly set you (G)free

on that wedding day,

on that (D)wedding day,

on that wedding day,
