Voice of Truth

(Fsus2)Oh, what I would (F)do to have the (Dm11)kind of faith it (Dm7)takes to climb out of this (Bb6/9)boat I'm (Bb)in,

(Eb)onto the (Bb)crashing waves, to (Fsus2)step out of my (F)comfort zone (Dm11)into the realm (Dm7)of the unknown where (Bb6/9)Jesus (Bb)is.

And He's (Eb)holding out

His (Bb)hand, but the (C)waves are (Bb)calling out my name and they laugh at me,

(F)(C)reminding me (Bb)of all the times I've (Fsus2)tried before and (F)failed.

The (C)waves, they keep on (Bb)telling me time and (C)time (Dm)again,

"Boy, you'll (Bbsus2)never win.

You'll (C)never win."

(F)But the voice of truth tells me a diff'rent story.

The voice of truth says, "Do not be afraid."

And the voice of truth says,

"This is for My glory."

Out of all the voices (Bbsus2)calling out to me,

(Dm)I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth.

(Fsus2)Oh, what I would (F)do to have the (Dm11)kind of strength it (Dm7)takes to stand before a (Bb6/9)giant

(Bb)with just a (Eb)sling and a (Bb)stone,

(Fsus2)surrounded by the (F)sound of a thousand warriors (Dm7)shaking in their armor,

(Bb)wishing they'd have (Eb)had the strength to (Bb)stand.

But the (Db)of truth.

But the stone was just the right size to put the (Eb)giant on the ground,

and the waves, they don't seem so high from on top of them looking down.

I will soar with the wings of eagles when I stop and (Bbm7)listen to the sound of Jesus singing over me.

The voice of truth tells me a diff'rent story.

The voice of truth says, "Do not be afraid."

And the voice of truth says,

"This is for My glory."

Out of all the voices (Bbsus2)calling out to me,

(Dm7)I will choose to listen and believe,

I will choose to listen and believe the voice

of truth.

(Dm7)I will listen and (Bb)believe, I will listen and believe the voice of truth.

(Dm7)I will (Bb6/9)listen and (Bb)believe,

'cause (Bb6/9)Jesus, You (Bb)are the voice of truth,

(Dm7)and I will (Bb6/9)listen to

(Bb)You. You are.
