that should be (D)me, this is so sad,

that should be (Gmaj7)me, that should be (Gm)me.

That should be (D)me feeling your kiss,

that should be (F#m)me buying you (A)gifts.

This is so (D)wrong, I can't go on 'til you (G)believe that (Em)that should be me.

(G)That should be (D)me.

(F#)You (Bm)said you needed a little (G)time for my (D)mistakes,

Did you (Bm)think that I wouldn't see you out (G)at the movies?

(D)What you doing to me?

You're taking (A)him where we used to (Em)go.

Now, if you're try'n' to break my heart,

it's (G)working, 'cause you know that it should be (G)lieve that (Em)that should be me.

(Bb)I need to know should I (C)fight for love or (Bb)disarm?

It's getting harder to (C)shield this pain in my heart.

(G)Oh, that should be (D)me holding your hand,

that should be (F#m)me making you laugh,

that should be (D)me, this is so sad,

that should be (Gmaj7)me, that should be (Gm)me.

That should be (D)me feeling your kiss,

that should be (F#m)me buying you (A)gifts.

This is so (D)wrong, I can't go on 'til you (G)believe that (Em)that should be me.

(G)That should be me.
