Serious

We both know why (Eb5)we're here;

(Fm)I see it in (Ab)your eyes.

(Dbsus2)I guess it calms (Eb5)my fear (Ab)to know it's not a surprise.

(Dbsus2)I thought one look at (Eb5)you,

(Fm)looking like a dream (Ab)come true (Dbsus2)would leave me (Eb5)speechless like you (Eb)(Ab)always do.

But now we're (Dbmaj9)wide awake

and we've got some plans to make.

(Eb7sus)Let's take some action, baby!

(Bbsus2)So baby give me your hand.

I've got some (Csus)dreams to make true.

(Bbsus2)I've got the (Csus)future all planned.

(F)It's (Bb)time to get (F)serious, (Db)time to get (Ab)serious with you.

(Db)I never thought (Eb5)that I...

(E5)Mmm (F#m)(A)Mmm (E5)Yeah!

(Dsus2)Mmm, (E5)uh (F#m)huh (A)yeah!

(Dsus2)At least, (E5)just like the (E)(A)Kennedys!

(Dmaj9)Our lives begin.

(Gmaj7)Fit me in!

(Cbsus2)Oh, here's my hand!

(Gb)Here's my hand!

We both have dreams to make true!

(Ebm7)Oh yes, I (Gb)understand!

(Cb)Time to get (Gb)serious,

(D)time to get (Esus)serious!

(A)Serious!

Serious! (Dsus2)Ah, (A)ah.

(G)Okay! Ah, you and

I...

I'm gonna need somebody (Bb)serious!

Less of a Marilyn, more a Jackie.

(Bb)Serious! Somebody classy and not too (Fm7)tacky.

(Eb)WHAT?! Okay, that came out wrong.

(Bb)Baby, let's both be strong!

(Ab)I mean we've known all (Cm7)along...

(Cbsus2)Baby, my future's all planned.

I've got some dreams to make true.

(Cb)I thought that you'd (Db)understand,

(Gb)it's (Cb)time to get (Gb)serious, (D)time to get (Esus)serious...
