Lyrics
Our love was (C)strong as a (Dm)lion,
soft as the (Bb)cotton you lie (F)in,
times we got (C)hot like an (Dm)iron,
you and I.
(F)Our hearts had (C)never been (Dm)broken,
we were so (Bb)innocent, (F)darling,
we used to (C)talk till the (Dm)morning,
you and I.
(Dm)We had that mixtape on ev'ry weekend,
(F)had it repeating,
(Dm)had it repeating.
(F)You were my (C)September song, summer (Dm)lasted too long.
(Bb)Time moves so slowly (F)when you're only fifteen.
You were my (C)September song, tell me,
(Dm)where have you gone?
(Bb)Do you remember me?
(F)We were only fifteen and I,
(Dm)I remember the (Bb)chorus, they were singing it (F)for us.
You were my (C)September song,
(Dm)I remember the (Bb)chorus, they were singing it (F)for us.
