Red

Loving him is like (Bb)driving a new (Dm)Maserati down a dead end (C)street.

(Bb)Faster than the wind, (Dm)passionate as sin,

ending so (C)suddenly.

Loving him is like (Bb)try'n' to change your mind once you're (Dm)already flyin' through the (C)free fall,

like the (Bb)colors on autumn so bright,

(Dm)just before they (C)lose it all.

Losing him was (Bb)blue like I'd never known.

Missing him was (C)dark gray, all alone.

Forgetting him was (Bb)like try'n' to know somebody you never (C)met.

But loving him was (Bb)red.

(C)Loving him was (Bb)red.

(C)Touching him was like (Bb)realizing all you ever (Dm)wanted was right there in front (C)of you.

Memorizing him was as (Bb)easy as know'n' all the (Dm)words to your old fav'rite (C)song.

Fighting with him was like (Bb)try'n to solve a crossword and (Dm)realizin' there's no right (C)answer.

Regretting him was like (Bb)wishing you never found (Dm)out that love could be that strong.

Oh, (C)red,

burnin' red.

(C)Remembering him comes in (Bb)flashbacks and (C)echoes.

Tell myself it's (Dm)time now, gotta (C)let go.

But (F)moving on from (Bb)him is impossible when (F)I still see it all in my (C)head

in burning red.

(C)Burnin', it was (Bb)red.

(C)Oh, losing him was (Bb)blue like I'd never known.

Missing him was (C)dark gray, all alone.

Forgetting him was (Bb)like try'n' to know somebody you never (C)met.

'Cause loving him was (Bb)red,

yeah, yeah, (C)red.

A burnin' (Bb)red.

(Bb)And that's why he's spinnin' (Dm)'round in my head.

(C)Comes back to me burnin' red.

(Bb)Yeah, yeah.

(C)His love is like (Bb)driving a new (Dm)Maserati down a dead end (C)street.
