Lyrics
(Eb)Won't (Bb7)you (Eb)play a (Gbdim7)simple (Bb7)melody like my mother sang to (Eb)me?
(Eb)One (Bb7)with (Eb)good (Gbdim7)oldfashioned (Bb7)harmony.
Play a simple (Eb)melody.
(Eb)Musical demon set your honey adreamin'.
(Gbdim7)Won't you (Bb7)play me some rag,
just change that classical nag to some sweet (Eb)beautiful drag.
(Bb7)If (Ab)you (Bb7)will (Eb)play from a copy of a tune that is choppy,
(Gbdim7)you'll get (Bb7)all my applause.
And that is simply because I want to listen to (Eb)rag.
(Eb)Musical demon, (Bb7)set your (Eb)honey adreamin'.
(Gbdim7)Won't you (Bb7)play me some rag?
Just change that classical nag to some sweet (Eb)beautiful drag.
(Bb7)If (Bb7sus)you (Bb7)will (Eb)play from a copy (Bb7)of a (Eb)tune that is choppy,
(Gbdim7)you'll get (Bb7)all my applause.
And that is simply because I want to listen to (Eb)rag.
