Part of the Plan

(D)I have these (A)moments all (G)steady and strong;

I'm (D)feeling so (A)holy and (G)humble.

The (D)next thing I (A)know I'm all (G)worried and weak and I (D)feel myself (A)starting to (G)crumble.

The (Bm)meanings get lost and the teachings get tossed and you don't know what you're goin' to do next.

You wait for the sun but it never quite comes;

and (G)some kind of message comes (E7)through to you,

(G)some kind of message comes through,

and it says to you:

(D)"Love when you (A)can, (G)cry when you (A)have to;

(D)be who you (A)must, that's a (G)part of the (A)plan.

(D)Await your (A)arrival with (G)simple (A)survival and (Bm)one day we'll all (E7)understand,

(G)one day we'll all (E7)understand,

(G)one day we'll all (E7)understand."

(D)I had a (A)woman who (G)gave me her soul,

but (D)I wasn't (A)ready to (G)take it.

Her (D)heart was so (A)fragile and (G)heavy to hold and and (D)I was (A)afraid I might (G)break it.

Your (Bm)conscience awakes and you see your mistakes and you wish someone would you confessions.

The days miss their mark and the night gets so dark and (G)some kind of message comes (E7)through to you,

(G)some kind of message shoots through,

and it says to you:

(D)"Love when you (A)can, (G)cry when you (A)have to;

(D)There is no (A)Eden or (G)heavenly gates that (D)you're gonna (A)make it to (G)one day.

But (D)all of the (A)answers you (G)seek can be found in the (D)dreams that you (A)dream,

on

(G)the way.
