Make Believe It's Your First Time

We've tried our (Bm7)hand

(E)at love (A)before.

(F#m)We've been (Bm7)around the game (Bm)enough

(E)to know the (A)score.

(A7)But then is (Dmaj7)then,

and now is (C#m7)now.

(Bm)And now is all that (D)matters well,

that's (G)anyhow.

(E)Make believe it's your first (C#m7)(Bm7)time;

leave your (E7)sadness behind.

(F#m)Make (C#m)believe it's your (Dmaj7)first time,

(A)and (Bm)I'll make (D)believe it's (A)mine.

(E)The door is (Bm7)closed;

(E)it's you and (A)me.

(F#m)We'll take our (Bm7)time with love,

the (Bm)way (E)it oughta (A)be.

(A7)This moment's (Dmaj7)ours,

tonight's the (C#m7)night.

(Bm)And if we fall in (D)love,

ters well, that's (G)alyright.

(E)Make believe it's your first (C#m7)time;

(Bm7)leave your (E7)sadness behind.

(F#m)Make (C#m)believe it's your (Dmaj7)first time,

(A)and (Bm)I'll make (D)believe it's (A)mine.

(E)The door is (A)mine.

(A)So (D)close your eyes and (C#m7)hold me (Bm7)close,

and let our hearts (A)pretend

(F#m)that love is ours to share tonight,

(D)and it might never (G)end.

(D)Make believe it's your (Bb)first (Eb)time;

leave your (F)sadness behind.

(Gm)Make (F)believe it's your (Ebmaj7)first time,

and I'll make (Eb)believe it's (Bb)mine.

(Ebmaj7)Make (Bb)believe it's your first time,

(C7)and (Cm7)I'll make (Eb)believe (F7)it's mine.
