Just As I Am

I wondered how to come to You.

I did not dare believe it true that You regard the orphaned ones beloved (F)daughters,

(G)worthy (C)sons.

(C)The bro ken and the barren too,

I heard could find some rest in You.

What kind of love in inj'ry's place would loved (F)daughters,

(G)worthy (C)sons.

(C)The broleave (F)instead the (G)stain of (Csus)grace?

(C)So I (F)come in sorrow and I (Dm)come in shame,

I (Am)come to the cross with my (Gsus)pain.

Just (C)as I am, without one plea,

but (G)that Thy (F)blood was shed (G)for (Fmaj7)me,

and (C)that Thou bidd'st me come to

Thee. O Lamb of

God, (Fmaj7)I come,

I come.

(C)The pardon that I found from sin spilled out from where the nails went in.

My heart will evermore proclaim:

I had not (F)lived (G)until that (C)day.

(C)I know there is a crown for me beyond where mortal eyes can (Am7)see.

And I don't nod to any man,

but offer (F)me just (G)as I (Csus)am.

(C)So I (F)come rejoicing,

with (Dm)hands held high,

and I (Am)come singing words of new (G)life.

Just of God,

(C)O Lamb of

(F)God I come.
