She had a (F)lot on her mind,

day and she (C)didn't pay attention.

She was (Dm7)going way too (C)fast;

(F)and before to she her (C)knew it,

she was spinning on a (Dm7)thin by black the sheet (C)of She saw (F)both their lives flash she (C)before her eyes.

It'd been a (Bbsus2)long hard year.

She had a (Dm7)She didn't even have (C)time to cry.

She was (Bbsus2)so scared.

She threw her (F)hands up in the air:

(F)"Jesus, take the wheel;

take it from my (G)hands, 'cause I can't do this (Dm)on (C)my (F)own.

I'm aletting (C)go;

so give me one more (G)chance,

save me from this (Dm)road (C)I'm (Fsus)on.

(F)Jesus, take the wheel."

(Bb)It was (F)still getting colder when she (C)made it to the shoulder and the (Dm7)car came to a (C)stop:

and she (F)cried when she saw that (C)baby in the back seat (Dm7)sleeping like a (C)rock.

And for the (F)first time in a (C)long time,

she (Dm7)bowed her head to (C)pray.

She said, "I'm (Bbsus2)sorry for the way (F)I've been living my life.

I (Bbsus2)know I've got to change,

so from (F)now on, tonight,

Jesus, take the wheel;

(Fsus)on.

(F)Oh, Jesus take the wheel."

(F)"Oh, I'm aletting (C)go;

so give me one more (G)chance,

save me from this (Dm)road (C)I'm (F)on,

from this (Dm7)road (C)I'm (F)on.

(F)Jesus, take the wheel.

(C)Oh, take it, (F)take it from (C)me."
