I Love To Tell The Story

I love to tell the (A7)(Dm)story (F7)of (Bbmaj7)unseen (Bdim)things (F)above,

of (C7)Jesus and His (F)glory, of

(Dm7)Jesus (G7)and His (Gm7)love.

(C7)I love to tell the (F)story (Dm)because I (Bb7)know 'tis (A)true;

it (Bb)(Bdim)satisfies my (F)longings (Dm)as (Gm)nothing (C7)else can (F)do.

I (C7)love to tell the (F)story (F7)'twill (Bb)be my (Eb7)theme in (F)glory to tell the (F7)old,

old (Bb)story (Bdim)of (F)(Dm)Jesus (Gm)and

(C7)His (F)love.

I love to tell the (A7)(Dm)story (F7)'tis (Bbmaj7)pleasant (Bdim)to (F)repeat what (C7)seems each time I (F)tell it,

more (Dm7)(G7)wonderfully (Gm7)sweet.

(C7)I love to tell the (F)story,

for (Dm)some have (Bb7)never (A)heard the (Bb)message (Bdim)of (F)salvation (Dm)from (Gm)God's own (C7)holy (F)word.

I (C7)love to tell the (F)story (F7)'twill (Bb)be my (Eb7)theme in (F)glory to tell the (F7)old,

old (Bb)story (Bdim)of (F)(Dm)Jesus (Gm)and

(C7)His (F)love.

I love.

I love to tell the story;

for (Bb)those who know it (F)best seem (C7)(A7)hungering and (Dm)thirsting to (Am)hear it,

(G7)like the rest.

(C7)And when, in scenes of (F)glory,

(A)I (Dm)sing the new, new (Bb)song,

(A)'twill (Bb)be the (Bdim)old, old (F)story that (Gm)I have (C7)loved so (F)long.

I (C7)love to tell the (F)story,

(B7)'twill (Bbmaj7)be my (Eb7)theme in (F)glory to tell the (F7)old,

old (Bb)story (Bdim)of (F)(Dm)Jesus (Gm)and

(C7)His (F)love.
