He Came Looking for Me

One (Em)night while (C)on life's raging sea,

it (C7)looked as if I would suffer defeat.

As the blackness of night closed off the (Am)light,

my (D7)heart sank with (G)fear.

My desp'rate (C)cry rang out with fright.

(C7)All I could (F7)see was no hope in (C)sight.

With faith all but gone, I met the

(Am)One who came (G)lookin' for (C)me.

He came (C7)lookin' for (F7)me,

He came lookin' for (C)me.

He made a way when there was no (Am)way (D7)that I could (G)see.

When I drifted (C)far,

(F)Jesus was (C)near to rescue my (E7)soul,

calm all my (F)fears.

Now I'm safe from all (C)harm since (Am)I met the (D7)One who came (G7)lookin' for (C)me.

(Em)Satan had (C)already picked out my grave.

His (C7)plan had moved (F)forward to put me away.

I'd drifted so far, would anyone (Am)care that (D7)I'd soon be (G)lost?

I knew my (C)destruction was a (F)matter of (C)time.

But (C7)Jesus (F7)appeared, said, "This one is (C)mine."

Now I'm (F)safe with no (C)harm,

for He walked through the storm.

He came (G)lookin' for (C)me.

He came (C7)lookin' for

(D)He came lookin' for (G7)me,

yes, He came lookin' for (D)me.

(G)He made a way when there was no (Bm)way (E7)that I could (A)see.

I (B)drifted so (E)far, but (F#m7)Jesus was (E)near to rescue my (G#)soul and calm all my (A)fears.

Now I'm safe from all (E)harm since (C#m)I met the (F#m7)One who came (B7)lookin' for (E)me.

Now I'm safe from all harm since (C#m)I met the (F#m7)One who came (B7)lookin' for (E)me.
