God Help the Outcasts

(Ebm6)I don't know if You can (Bb)hear me or (Ebm6)if You're even (Bb)there.

(Gm)I don't know if You will (Eb)listen (Cm)to a (F)humble (Bb)prayer.

They (Gm)tell me I am just an (Cm)outcast;

I (Am7)shouldn't speak (D7)to (Gm)You.

(Ebm6)Still I see Your face and (Bb)wonder:

(F7)were You once an outcast, (Bb)too?

(Bb)God help the (Bbmaj7)outcasts (Eb)hungry from birth.

But (Cm7)Show them the (Bb)(F)mercy they (Bbsus)don't (Bb)find on earth.

(F)The (Gm)lost and (F)forgotten, they (Cm7)look to You still.

(Ebm6)God help the (Bb)outcasts or (F7)nobody (Bb)will.

(Bb)I ask for (Bbmaj7)nothing, (Eb)I can get birth.

But (Cm7)I know so (Bb)(F)many less (Bbsus)(Bb)lucky than I.

(F)The (Gm)God help the (F)outcasts, the (Cm7)poor and downtrod.

(Ebm6)I thought we (Bb)all were the (F7)children of (Bb)will.

(Bb)God. (F)(Eb)I don't know if there's a (Bb)reason why (Cm)some are blessed,

some (Bb)not.

(Gm)Why the few You seem to (Eb)favor,

they (Cm7)fear us,

(Bb)flee us, (Dm)try not to (Gsus)see us.

(C)God help the outcasts, the (F)tattered,

the torn, (Dm)seeking an (Gsus)(G)answer to (Csus)why (C)they were born.

(Am)Winds of misfortune have (Dm)blown them about.

(Fm6)You made the (C)(Cmaj7)outcasts;

(G7)don't cast them (Am)out.

(Cmaj7)The (Fm6)poor and (C)unlucky, the (Fm6)weak and the (C)odd;

(Fm6)I (C)thought (Dm)we (C)all were the (G7)children of (C)God.
