They're spreading as (F#7)blankets on the beach.

And you said:

(E)Yours is the first face that I saw.

(B)I think I was n't blind before I met you.

And I don't know where I am,

I don't (G#)know where I've been,

but I and know (F#7)where I want to go.

And so I (E)thought I'd (B)let you know,

yeah, these (A)things take forever.

I especially am slow,

But I'd but I (F#m)realize that I need you,

and I wondered if I could come home.

You felt ing as (F#7)if you just woke up.

And you said:

(E)This is the first day of my life.

(B)I'm glad I was n't die before I met you.

And I But now I don't care;

I could (G#)go anywhere with you,

and know (F#7)prob'ly be happy.

So, if you (E)wanna (B)be with me,

with these (A)things there's no telling;

we just have to wait and see.

But I'd but I (F#m)workaling for a paycheck than waiting to win the lottery.
