Come to the Table

We all start on the outside,

the (G)outside looking in.

This is (Dm7)where grace begins.

(C5)We were hungry, we were thirsty,

with (G)nothing left to give.

Oh, the (Dm7)shape that we were (Fsus2)in.

(Am)And just when all hope seemed lost,

Love opened the door for us.

He said:

(C)Come (Dm7)to the table.

(C)Come join the (Dm7)sinners who have (Fsus2)been redeemed.

Take your (C)place (Dm7)beside the Savior.

(Am)Sit down and (C)be set (F)free.

Come to the table.

(C)Come meet this (Dm7)motley crew of misfits,

these liars and these thieves;

there's no one unwelcome here.

(C)And that sin and shame that you brought with you,

you can (Dm7)leave it at the door and let mercy draw you (F)near.

So, Come to the table,

(Fsus2)come to the table.

To the thief and to the doubter,

to the (F)hero and the coward,

to the (C)pris'ner and the soldier,

to the (G)young and to the older,

all who (Am)hunger all who thirst,

all the last and all the first,

all the paupers and the princes,

all who fail, you've been forgiven,

all who dream and all who suffer,

all who loved and lost another,

all the chained and all the free,

all who (G)follow, all who lead,

anyone who's been let down, all the lost,

you have been found, all who've been (C)labeled right or wrong,

to ev'ryone (G)who hears this song:

(C)Come (Dm7)to the table.

(C)Come join the (Dm7)sinners;

you have (Fsus2)been redeemed.

Take your (C)place (Dm7)beside the Savior.
