Christmas This Year

As (C)fall rides off in the sunset,

I sweep the snow from my doorstep.

I (F)just can't help but stop and grin;

it's like I'm ten years old again.

(Dm)And ev'rywhere I go, I can feel it.

(F)Some say it moves like a spirit.

(C)It falls on us once a year,

like it came on a midnight clear.

(Am)The soul of this (F)season is a (C)gift when love came (G)down to let us (Am)live.

Let's open up and let our (C)hearts embrace this moment.

For Christmas this year, we're gonna make a sound,

gonna make it loud.

For (F)Christmas this year, we're gonna make some noise,

let the world rejoice.

For (Dm)Christmas this year, for (F)Christmas,

for Christmas this (C)year.

And the laughter starts before the sunrise.

I (C)sneak downstairs to sparkling eyes.

And (F)oh, what joy it brings to me,

the fam'ly around our Christmas tree.

(Dm)And I thank the Lord for His favor (F)as we sing the songs of the Savior,

(C)our Savior.

year. (Am)Holy, holy, (Em)(G)holy!

(Am)God is coming (Em)near.

(Am)Unto us a (Em)Savior's (G)born (Dm)on a (G)midnight (C)clear.

(Am)Holy, holy, (Em)(G)holy!

(Am)God is coming (Em)near.

(Am)Unto us a (Em)Savior's (G)born on a midnight (C)clear.

Oh, for Christmas this year, we're gonna make a sound,

gonna make it loud.

For (F)Christmas this year, we're gonna make some noise,

let the world rejoice.

For (Dm)Christmas this year, for (F)Christmas,

for Christmas, for Christmas this year,

we're gonna make a sound, gonna make it loud.

For Christmas this year, we're gonna make some noise,

let the world rejoice.

For (Dm)Christmas this year, for (F)Christmas,

for Christmas, for Christmas, for Christmas,

this (C)year.
