Blessings

We pray for blessings;

(Ebsus2)we pray for peace,

(F)And comfort for family, (Eb)protection while we sleep.

We pray for healing,

for (F)prosperity;

(Eb)we pray for Your mighty hand to (F)ease our suffering.

And (Bb)all the while,

You (Fsus)hear each spoken need,

yet, (Cm7)love us way too much to give us lesser things.

(F)'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops?

(Bb)What if Your healing comes through tears?

What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near?

(Cm7)And what if trials of this life

(Eb)are Your (Fsus)mercies in disguise?

(Eb)We pray for wisdom,

(Ebsus2)Your voice to hear.

(F)And we cry in anger when we (Eb)cannot feel You near.

We doubt Your goodness,

for we (F)doubt Your love,

(Eb)as if ev'ry promise from

Your (F)Word is not enough.

And (Bb)all the while,

You (Fsus)hear each desp'rate plea,

and (Cm7)long that we'd have faith to give believe.

er things.

(Eb)are Your (F)mercies in disguise?

(Cm11)When friends betray us,

(Ebsus2)when darkness seems to win, we know the pain reminds this heart that this is not,

(Fsus)this is not our home.

(Dm)It's not our home.

(F)'Cause (F7)what if Your (Bb5)blessings come through raindrops?

What if Your healing comes through tears?

And what if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near?

(Eb)What if my greatest disappointments or the (F)aching of this life is the revealing of a greater thirst this (Eb)world can't satisfy?

(Cm7)And what if trials of this life,
