Before The Throne Of God Above

Before the throne of (Bb)God (F)above,

I have a strong and perfect (Am)plea:

a great High (Bb)Priest, (F)whose (C)name is (Dm)Love,

who ever (Bb)lives and (C7sus)pleads for (F)me.

My name is (Bb)graven (C)on His (F)hands,

my name is (Bb)written (C)on His (Dm)heart.

I know that (Bb)while in (C)heav'n He (Dm)stands,

no tongue can (Bb)bid me (C7sus)thence (Dm)depart,

no tongue can (Bb)bid me (C7sus)thence (F)depart.

When Satan tempts me (Bb)to (F)despair and tells me of the guilt (Am)within,

upward I (Bb)look (F)and (C)see Him (Dm)there who made an (Bb)end of (C7sus)all my (F)sin.

Because the (Bb)sinless (C)Savior (F)died, my sinful (Bb)soul is (C)counted (Dm)free,

for God the (Bb)Just is (C)(Dm)satisfied to look on (Bb)Him and (C7sus)pardon (Dm)me,

to look on (Bb)Him and (C7sus)pardon (F)me.

Behold Him God.
